Rebs Charging (15mm)

Moving along with my ACW project with some rebels charging home. I'm pleased I've managed to keep focused for so long that I've actually made very good progress. Actually I have quite a few units waiting to be posted that are already finished which is nice.

The figures are again Old Glory 15's and the flags again from the superb GMB designs. Hopefully the 28mm fans out there are not getting bored of the 15mm posts, but fear not I do have some 28mm figures on my desk as I write.:-)

In the mail today I received a gift that I won in  Jonathan Freitag http://palousewargamingjournal.blogspot.de/  blog give away yesterday! I highly recommend visiting his blog in the link given. His blog is full of nice miniatures and a great variety in periods and scales and in addition if you like graphs on the hobby then you will absolutely love his blog!:-)

Jonathan sent me Henry Hyde's Wargaming Compendium and what a tomb of a book it is! It's packed full of wargaming goodness that I can't wait to sink my teeth into! Thank you very much Jonathan!!:-)

Thanks for viewing!:-)

  1. Christopher, your ragged rebs charging are fantastic! I look forward to seeing a group shot of all of your latest 15mm ACW work when you wrap it up.

Great news to see that the Hyde book arrived. It is a massive book, is it not? Loaded with interesting stuff for both the newcomer to the hobby as well as the veteran. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the blog plug and your very kind comments!

  7. Loving the 15mm ACW posts Christopher, my brother has a big army of both sides with loads of the OG figures in. I think it's Johnny reb 2'they play.

    1. Thanks a lot Paul. OG figures are good choice as they are both economical and have plenty of variety. I haven't played Johnny Reb2, but I've heard about it.

  11. You're getting A+ in painting morale and focus. I seldom have enough discipline to stay with one project at a time, so I tip my hat in admiration. There is a certain satisfaction in getting things done and having completed a project.

  12. As always your work is awesome Chris! If you keep on pumping out 15s at your current speed we'll soon play Ghettysburg in 1:1 ratio ;-)

  16. My, but they look good. I've always enjoyed the 15mm games of ACW I've played in, and those Rebs would grace any table. Well done with the competition - the Compendium is a marvellous book. Enjoy it in your favourite armchair!
